Ch. 9+10 Q’s

The 9 has a huge amount of information about how to the interactive design process works and the things that you need to consider when designing products to help the users of these products achieve their goals.  When we begin redesigning and working on our final projects to revamp a website we are going to be the designers and in most cases we may be the user as well.  This may help or hurt the design process because we may think we do not need to get user input to decide what others want out of the site.  Since we will probably we users for this site and also be helping redesign it, how much do we actually need to incorporate the requirements of other users?  Are their needs any different than our needs?

I think the more users we involve in our website design the better. Of course the fact that every man has his/her own opinion can not be evaded. However we will see a certain patterns, some common ideas with which a group of people will agree. The more people we involve the more is the number of patterns and the difference in patterns we will have.

I think it is always important to get other users input on a project. If you are currently a user, it allows for other details that you might not have thought about. It gives you another perspective and more options when redesigning if you take into account other peoples problems and suggestions. Other users needs can also be far different than your own. This allows not only for more feedback and suggestions but allows for a more directive way of forming/reforming your interface to satisfy everyone. In short, the more people the better in my opinion.

I think other users input can strengthen the website. The reason why I think the more users the better is because when you work with a group the better ideas you have. You being the developer sometimes run out of ideas and some of the ideas that you are providing might not be as good as you think.
